Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear citizens of Magdeburg, dear visitors,

Since the founding of the association Stadtmarketing “Pro Magdeburg e.V.”, much has changed in Magdeburg, the city of Otto and the state capital of Saxony-Anhalt. Today, Magdeburg is a city with a modern image that is of great importance as a location for innovative companies. The city, located on the River Elbe, has gained international reputation as a centre for science offering excellent infrastructure and ideal conditions for a high standard of living. What has been created here in recent years is enormous. Surveys have shown that the people of Magdeburg are extremely proud of what they have achieved so far - with almost 90 percent identifying strongly with their city.

On May 22nd, 2002, the association Stadtmarketing “Pro Magdeburg” e.V. was founded with the aim of working with the city's businesses to help improve the image and enhance the strong identification of Magdeburg residents with their city. Together, we are making an effective contribution to a positive picture with which the world perceives us. As a member of our city marketing association “Pro Magdeburg”, you too can support this work. After all, everyone can help to ensure that our city continues to have a positive image - be it in conversations, in letters or on any given occasion. Why not become an ambassador for Magdeburg and promote your home city? At the same time, you can help to further develop its incredible potential so that Magdeburg remains an attractive and powerful location for business, trade and science and an important hub for sport, leisure, art and culture in Saxony-Anhalt.
